Vol. 378 No. 10

Written Answers. - Corofin (Clare) National School.

160.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the request for additional accommodation sought by the board of management of Corofin national school, County Clare; and whether national lottery funds would be used to assist in building the recreational facilities.

A feasibility study has been completed for additional accommodation as sought by the board of management of Corofin national school, County Clare. However, because of the pressure on the funds available to my Department for the national schools building programme, it will not be possible to advance this case further for the present. I may add that it is not possible under the terms of the national lottery legislation, to have lottery funds used for school building purposes.
