Vol. 379 No. 1

Written Answers. - Admission to Hospital.

186.

asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be called for an operation in Cork for an urgent ear condition.

I would like to explain that the admission of a patient to hospital is a matter for the clinical decision of the consultant concered and the hospital authority. I would suggest to the Deputy that the child and his family should return to their general practitioner who would be in the best position to stress the urgency of the case to the consulant concerned.
