Vol. 379 No. 1

Written Answers. - Funeral Grant.

189.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will arrange for immediate payment of a death grant due to the estate of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

, Limerick West): The deceased person referred to was in receipt of a special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts. This is a means tested payment and, before payment of a funeral grant can be made, it will be necessary for my Department to have sight of the deceased's will. The next-of-kin have been requested to furnish a copy of the deceased's will, on receipt of which in my Department, the matter will receive prompt attention.
