Vol. 379 No. 3

Written Answers. - Rathmore (County Kerry) Community School.

17.

asked the Minister for Education whether she intends to construct a new community school in Rathmore, County Kerry; the present position in relation to the proposal; when it is likely that work will start on this project in view of the urgent need for such a community school in the area, and if she will make a statement on the matter.

It is my intention to provide a new community school at Rathmore, County Kerry which will cater for 475 pupils.

The present position of the architectural planning is that preliminary sketch drawings have been submitted to my Department by the design team and a revised schedule of accommodation has been agreed.

At this early stage in the planning process, however, it is not possible to say when construction work will commence.
