asked the Minister for the Environment the number of mechanically propelled vehicles under current licence on 30 September 1987 analysed by the following taxation classes: (1) private cars, (2) goods vehicles, (3) agricultural tractors, (4) general haulage tractors, (5) motor cycles, (6) exempt vehicles, (7) small public service vehicles, (8) large public service vehicles, (9) school buses, (10) excavators and trench diggers, (11) mobile machines and forklift trucks, (12) hearses, (13) small dumpers, and (14) off the road dumpers; and the total number in all classes.

The following is a tabular statement of the information requested:
