Vol. 379 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Redundancy Scheme.

180.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement outlining the take-up of the voluntary redundancy scheme offered to staff at local authority level; and if he will give details of the take-up in terms of grades, skilled and semi-skilled workers.

From information supplied by them to my Department local authorities have to date decided to accept applications under the voluntary redundancy-early retirement scheme from 418 personnel in officer grades, 1,123 general operatives, 254 craftsmen and 463 personnel in other grades.
