Vol. 379 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Inner City Flats.

195.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received submissions from Dublin Corporation with regard to the refurbishment of inner city flats; and when sanction will be given for this work.

An allocation of £2.3 million has been made to Dublin Corporation this year under the remedial works scheme in respect of their priority refurbishment projects. These include the inner city flats at Fatima Mansions and St. Mary's Mansions. Work is already in progress in Fatima Mansions and documentation recently received for St. Mary's Mansions is being examined. Due to the high level of demand for financial assistance under the scheme, it is not possible to make an allocation, at this stage, for other proposals of the corporation.
