My Department have under consideration an application from Firies GAA Club, Farranfore, County Kerry, for grant assistance for the provision of recreational facilities. Further information on their application has been sought and when this is received a decision in the matter will be conveyed to the authorities concerned as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for grant assistance from Galway Regatta Committee to assist in the creation of a 1,700 metre rowing course from the Iodine to Menlo Castle on the River Corrib; and if so, when she will make a decision on this grant application.
An application has been received by my Department from Galway Regatta Committee for the creation of a rowing course on the River Corrib. A decision in the matter will be conveyed to the authorities concerned as soon as possible.
