Written Answers. - Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal.

71.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will make a statement on the time-scale of payments of awards under the Criminal Injuries Compansation Tribunal from the date of settlement to the date of issue of cheque.

The time-scale of payments from the date of acceptance of awards to the date of issue of cheques is currently of the order of nine months, i.e. cheques issuing this month relate generally to awards accepted in June 1987.
