asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the fact that certain categories of farmers who participated in the non-marketing premium and the beef premium schemes in Holland and Germany and subsequently had no milk supply in the reference year of 1983 have brought their cases before the European Courts; and if, in the event of a favourable decision in each of these cases, he will apply the ruling to the Irish milk suppliers who are also in this category.

Yes. I am aware of the cases referred to and I can assure the Deputy that any changes in Community regulations arising from the decisions made in these cases will be automatically applied in Ireland.
