The creation of jobs in specific regions and the number of staff employed for that purpose are day-to-day matters for the State industrial development agencies.
However, I understand from the IDA and SFADCo that the number of first time jobs created in 1986 were 1,409 in the mid-west region and 1,853 in the south west.
