asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give the housing capital allocation for each local authority in the country for 1988.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give, in tabular form, county by county, the total capital allocation for housing for 1988; the figure for new starts, county by county; and the approximate numbers on the housing lists, county by county.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 51 and 58 together.

The information requested by the Deputy is compiled in my Department on a housing authority basis rather than a country basis. The tabular statement below relates, therefore, to new local authority housing construction and residential caravan parks for travellers for each housing authority:
