asked the Minister for Energy the provisions which have been made by his Department to protect the local natural resources based industries in Bantry Bay, County Cork upon the reopening of Whiddy oil terminal, County Cork.

The reactivation of the oil terminal at Whiddy Island will be subject to the granting of planning permission by the county council. It will be a matter for the council to specify reasonable conditions to protect the human and natural resources involved.
