Vol. 379 No. 11

Written Answers. - Sale of Oil Refinery.

50.

asked the Minister for Energy if he will make a statement on a report (details supplied) which alleged that there is a serious difference of opinion between executives of the Irish National Petroleum Corporation regarding the benefit to this country of the sale of the Whitegate oil refinery and the Whiddy oil terminal, County Cork to the Nigerian State Oil Company; and his views on whether, as a result of the disagreement a senior executive is reported to be out sick.

The issues referred to in the Deputy's question are matters pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the INPC which are the responsibility of the board of the corporation. It would therefore be inappropriate for me to comment.
