A scheme for the dredging of the harbour at Burtonport and its approaches is under consideration. The carrying out of this scheme will be subject to the availability of funds but if the scheme proceeds the dredging would be carried out by contract based on competitive tender. In such cases it is not policy to disclose the cost estimate.
