Vol. 380 No. 2

Written Answers. - Ballintra, Donegal, National School.

105.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the dangerous condition of a prefabricated building that had to be vacated by teacher and pupils at Robertson's national school, Ballintra, County Donegal; if an application has been received in her Department for the provision of a permanent classroom at the school in view of the seriousness of the situation; and when this permanent classroom will be provided.

A grant has already been sanctioned by my Department for the replacement of the prefabricated classroom at Robertson's national school, Ballintra, Co. Donegal which was storm damaged. I understand that because of the exposed nature of the site the school authorities have requested a better quality replacement structure than the conventional prefabricated classroom. My Department's professional advisers have been asked to design an extension which will take into account the school's request, and my Department will be in touch with the school authorities when a plan has been produced.
