Vol. 380 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Transport Eligibility.

163.

asked the Minister for Education whether a person (details supplied) in County Cork is entitled to free school transport.

This child is eligible for free transport to her nearest school, Rathcoola national school. As there is no transport service to this school she has, under the terms of the school transport scheme, been allowed concessionary fare-paying transport to her next nearest school, Lyre national school. The term fare for this facility may not, however, be waived unless the child's parents-guardians hold a medical card.
