Vol. 380 No. 7

Written Answers. - Land Commission Estates.

61.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the name, location and acreage of estates held by the Land Commission; whether proposals are or have been prepared for the disposal of these lands; when he expects same to be allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The area of agricultural land held by the Land Commission is about 6,000 hectares spread over 500 properties. Every effort is being made to dispose of this land as quickly as possible.

The provision of the detailed information sought in respect of the entire country would make severe demands on staff resources. If, however, the Deputy wants this information in respect of a particular county, I will arrange to have it supplied.
