asked the Minister for the Marine if he will arrange for the erection of a flashing light or other marker on the Perch Rock, in the Kenmare river near Dinish Island, County Kerry as a safety precaution for fishermen in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have had no request for the provision of a flashing light or other marker on the Perch Rock in the Kenmare river near Dinish Island. However, I am arranging for my Department's engineer to visit the area and to let me have a report, on the basis of which further action will be decided:
