Vol. 380 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Kildare KARE Association.

66.

asked the Minister for Health if, having regard to the tremendous work done by the KARE Association in County Kildare in catering for handicapped children, he will favourably consider an application for capital funding from the national lottery, in order to assist in the completion of facilities and the provision of extra facilities in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have on hands a very considerable number of applications from voluntary agencies for assistance from the national lottery funds which have been allocated to my Department including one from the KARE Association in County Kildare. I am at present actively considering these applications. I expect to be in a position to reach a final decision in the near future and the successful agencies will be notified immediately at that stage.
