Vol. 381 No. 1

Written Answers. - Eglinton Street (Galway) Garda Barracks.

37.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason the former Garda barracks at Eglinton Street, Galway, has been left vacant for three years; and if he will make a statement regarding the future use of this building.

These premises were vacated in February 1986. Having established, in consultation with all Government Departments, that the premises are surplus to present and foreseeable State needs and having had tender documents prepared by the Chief State Solicitor, the Commissioners of Public Works, in accordance with Government policy, will shortly offer the property for sale.
