Vol. 381 No. 4

Written Answers. - Howth Harbour Abandoned Vessels.

61.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is his Department's responsibility to deal with abandoned or wrecked boats at Howth harbour, County Dublin; and if he will take steps to ensure that one body or authority is given responsibility for dealing with this problem, in view of the fact that there are seven berths occupied by abandoned or wrecked boats.

The Commissioners of Public Works are the harbour authority for Howth Harbour, County Dublin and are responsible for dealing with the problem of abandoned or wrecked boats at the harbour.

In accordance with normal practice, arrangements are in train to have any abandoned vessels in the Harbour removed.
