asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for grant aid from Rathcoffey GAA club, County Kildare; if her attention has been drawn to the club's proposal for expansion of facilities; if she will favourably consider the application from the club for funds from the proceeds of the national lottery; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

No application has been received under my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities from Rathcoffey GAA Club, County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery from Newtown, Enfield Community Council, County Kildare; if she accepts the need to encourage and promote the local efforts in this case; if she will favourably consider the application; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

A formal application has not been received from this organisation. An application form has been sent to the Deputy.

The demand for funds under this scheme is such that financial assistance cannot be presumed in respect of any application.

asked the Minister for Education if she will favourably consider making available a capital grant from the proceeds of the national lottery to the Celbridge mill complex, Celbridge, County Kildare; if her attention has been drawn to the extensive facilities already undertaken and provided by Celbridge Community Council Ltd. thereat; if she is aware of the needs of this fast expanding community; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have already sanctioned a grant of £110,000 in respect of the project referred to. A further application for additional funds for the project has been received and is currently under consideration by my Department.
