asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of special advisers he has employed since March 1987.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food (a) the number of people who are employed in his constituency office and (b) the number of people who were employed in his predecessor's constituency office.

109.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of persons employed in (1) the constituency office and (2) the private office of himself and each of his Ministers of State at (a) 1 May 1987 and (b) 1 June 1988.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 108 and 109 together.

Staff are not formally divided into separate constituency and private offices. The situation varies from day to day in each office and staff carry out duties appropriate to both offices as the need arises. The following are the normal equivalent full-time staffing levels:
