Vol. 382 No. 9

Written Answers. - Ashbourne, Meath, By-pass.

117.

asked the Minister for the Environment the outcome of negotiations between his Department, the Department of Education and Meath County Council with regard to the proposed Ashbourne by-pass and its possible impact on the site funded by the Department of Education for the provision of a community school in Ashbourne.

Meath County Council have identified a possible line for a by-pass of Ashbourne which would require a land take of about an acre from the school site. Arising from discussions involving my Department, the Department of Education and Meath County Council, the Department of Education have indicated that the disposal of this land would not adversely affect the viability of the site for school development purposes.
