Vol. 383 No. 1

Written Answers. - Blessington Street, Dublin Flats.

230.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a refurbishment scheme for 20 flats at 60-64 Blessington Street, Dublin 7 to bring these flats into compliance with the Chief Fire Officer's requirements was received by his Department in February, 1988 from Dublin Corporation; and if he has approved the necessary funding.

An application for funding under the remedial works scheme was received on 29 February, 1988 in respect of these flats but it was necessary to seek additional technical information from the Corporation. The priority rating they attached to this and other proposals had also been sought and was received on 30 September, 1988. The proposal is now being considered in this context, in consultation with the local authority, and a decision will be conveyed to them as soon as possible.
