*Number of wholetime teachers in respect of salary from the Department of Education.
With regard to the second level vocational sector the total teacher allocation for full-time day courses in respect of the 1987-88 session was 5,374.5 wholetime equivalents. As payment of teachers in vocational schools is made by the Vocational Education Committees the data in respect of pay etc. for these teachers is not available in my Department and will have to be obtained from the VEC's.
