asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce consequent on the Government's decision to include North Kerry in the Mid-West Region for EC regional funding purposes, his views on whether it would be appropriate to include this area in SFADCo for tourism and industrial promotion purposes.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will clarify the recent announcement that the North Kerry constituency will be included in the SFADCo region for industrial and tourist promotion.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 48 and 54 together.
The Government have decided that the area covered under the remit of the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited should be extended to include North Kerry. Consideration is being given at present to the arrangements necessary to give effect to this decision.
