Vol. 383 No. 2

Written Answers. - Acting Principal's Earnings.

95.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the acting principal of the Limerick School of Music earns £800 per annum less than if he had remained as a teacher; that many teachers under his control, without any administrative responsibilities, are being paid higher salaries than he is; and if she proposes to take any steps to rectify the situation.

Proposals regarding the salary of the acting principal have been submitted to my Department by the City of Limerick Vocational Education Committee and are under consideration at present.
