asked the Minister for Labour the Exchequer moneys expended on each Manpower scheme for each month in 1987 and 1988; and the number of persons who commenced employment each month under each scheme to date.

The employment schemes in question are now the responsibility of FÁS. Accordingly, the provision of monthly figures of intake and expenditure would be a day to day matter for that agency, and as such the Deputy might contact FÁS direct for that information.

However, the overall figures for 1987 and the allocations and targets for 1988 are as follows:
