Vol. 383 No. 4

Written Answers. - Radiation Emissions.

115.

asked the Minister for Energy if the Nuclear Energy Board is currently carrying out monitoring on possible radiation emissions from British army installations in south County Armagh and south County Down and the possible effects on people living in their immediate area.

The Nuclear Energy Board has no responsibility for non-ionising radiation. The information available to me is to the effect that the possible radiation emissions are radio-frequency electromagnetic ones and, therefore, non-ionising in nature.
