Vol. 383 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

136.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if grants from his Department or any public agency under the authority of this Department have been paid to a company (details supplied) in Dublin 22 in the last five years; and, if so, the amount.

No grants have been paid by my Department to the company in question. The question of the payment of grants by any of the bodies under my aegis to any company is ordinary a matter for the day-to-day responsibility of those bodies and in the case of CTT details of all grants paid by them to individual companies are confidential and are not published. However, in the case of the Industrial Development Authority, details of grants approved for, and paid to, individual companies are published by the authority in its annual report. The latest such report covers the year 1986 and is available for inspection in the Oireachtas Library.
