asked the Minister for Health the extra allocation of money that was given to the Mercy Hospital, Grenville Place, Cork, following the closure of the North Infirmary; and the moneys that were allocated to the Mercy Hospital for the years 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1987-88.

The revised revenue allocations given to the Mercy Hospital, Cork, for the years 1985 to 1988 are as follows: 1985, £4.712 million; 1986, £4.798 million; 1987, £5.007 million; 1988, £6.583 million. Services formerly provided by the North Infirmary are now provided by other hospitals in the Cork area.
