asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the financial allocation to each local authority under each heading in 1988 and 1989.

The rate support grant allocations to local authorities for 1988 and 1989 are set out in my reply to Question No. 253 of 19 October 1988.

Apart from certain types of road grants, the 1989 allocations to local authorities for various services have not yet been determined.

The other information sought is set out in the attached table.

²Only block grants and county road strengthening grants have been allocated to date for 1989.

³In addition allocations of £80,000 and £25,000 were made to Cootehill and Kilkee Town Commissioners respectively in respect of remedi al works.
