A land improvement grant under the farm improvement programme has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will arrange payment of suckler grants for the years 1986, 1987 and 1988 to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.
The person named was deemed ineligible for grants under the 1986 and 1987 suckler cow schemes as his off-farm income was more than 50 per cent of his total income. Following a query by him, the decision is being reviewed in conjunction with an examination of his position under the 1988 suckler cow scheme.
He was also deemed ineligible for headage grants under the 1986 and 1987 disadvantaged areas scheme.
