asked the Minister for the Marine the legislation or sections of legislation for which he is responsible which have been passed by the Houses of the Oireachtas and not yet brought into force; and the reason the legislation is not yet in force.

The Oil Pollution of the Sea (Civil Liability and Compensation) Act, 1988 was signed by the President on 11 May 1988. My Department are at present drafting the regulations to give full effect to this legislation.
