Subject to certain specified conditions and limitations teachers employed by vocational education committees and who are obliged to travel in the performance of their duties or in order to attend courses etc. of an approved educational nature are eligible for payment of travel and subsistence allowances. Such expenses are met from the VEC's non-pay annual allocation, from which it is intended also that expenses of VEC members at IVEA meetings are met.
Expenses are not payable to persons attending interviews for VEC posts.
