Vol. 384 No. 5

Written Answers. - Residential Care.

210.

asked the Minister for Health the facilities which are available to provide residential care for a problem child (details supplied) in Dublin 17 who is a threat to his parents; if he intends to take any steps to provide suitable residential care; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Admission of individuals to residential care is a matter for the service providing agencies, in the light of clinical decisions by the relevant professionals involved.

I have brought the case raised by the Deputy to the attention of the Eastern Health Board and I have asked them to communicate directly with the Deputy on the matter.
