asked the Taoiseach the regulation, practice and information requirement which has been modified by his Department as a result of the decision of the Government last May that each Minister review all such regulations, practices and information requirements which have a cost impact on business and industry.

Department of the Taoiseach. There are no regulations, practices or information requirements imposed on business by the Department of the Taoiseach.

A review of the statistical burden imposed on business and industry by the Central Statistics Office, concluded that there was no scope for reduction. It is the minimum corpus of information which must be collected to meet current national and EC statistical requirements.
