asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

There is no application for grant aid outstanding for the person mentioned.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

As the work in this case was carried out without the prior written approval of the Farm Development Service, it is not eligible for grant aid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will arrange for immediate payment of a farm development scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The grant of £1,548 has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the present position regarding the delay in payment of cattle headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named will be paid his 1988 EC suckler cow premium shortly and his 1988 calf premium when payments under this scheme commence in early January 1989. His 1988 application for cattle and equines headage grants will be considered further when he submits documentary evidence of lands owned and rented by him.

Two grants under the farm improvement programme were paid recently.
