Vol. 384 No. 6

Written Answers. - Fish Farming.

93.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will amend the Planning Acts to include the requirement that all fish farming installations be subject to planning permission under the Acts.

Construction of fish farming installations, other than installations outside the jurisdiction of planning authorities, requires permission under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Acts, 1963 to 1983. I have no proposals to amend these Acts in this regard.
