Vol. 384 No. 7

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Dundrum (Tipperary) Sawmills.

15.

asked the Minister for Energy the plans, if any, his Department have for the development and expansion of Dundrum Sawmills, Dundrum, County Tipperary.

The Forest Service sawmills at Dundrum are used at present for processing specialised lots of timber and, and to an increasing extent, sawing test lots for research purposes. Any expansion of the mills would probably be based on activities of this kind and, in particular, would depend on decisions by Coillte Teoranta, to which the mills will be transferred, as to their needs under these headings.
