Vol. 385 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Galway School Grant Application.

24.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the grant application made by Holy Rosary College, Mountbellew, County Galway; if finance will be provided in the 1989 Estimates; and when the school authorities will be notified of the allocation.

The Holy Rosary College, Mountbellew is one of a number of projects where architectural planning has been completed.

The 1989 Estimate provision for second-level school building represents a global allocation and is not attributable to specific projects at this stage. The needs of the Holy Rosary College will certainly be carefully considered by my Department in the context of decisions to be made on the utilisation of the funds available in 1989 for this purpose.

The school authorities will be informed as soon as it becomes possible to authorise the invitation of tenders for this project.
