My Department has a limited responsibility for the collation of official statistics on company closures or liquidations. As this does not include statistics on job losses this information is not available in my Department.
I am informed by the Registrar of Companies that he has been notified of the appointment of liquidators in respect of 32 companies since 31 October, the closing date of the tax amnesty.
