The total number of persons participating in FÁS training and employment programmes at end November 1988 was 31,197.
Prior to 1 January 1988 the activity of FÁS was carried out by AnCO, the NMS and the YEA. Comparable information relating to participation on the programmes of these bodies is based on the calendar year. The information is as follows:
