Vol. 385 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cardiac Ambulance Pilot Scheme.

233.

asked the Minister for Health whether he has noted the fast response cardiac ambulance pilot scheme for the Enniskillen area, County Fermanagh; and, if so, if he will make a statement as to whether it could be applied here.

I am aware of pilot schemes generally in Northern Ireland in relation to cardiac ambulance services. A pilot cardiac ambulance service is in operation in the Dublin area and this scheme is being evaluated in the context of emergency ambulance services generally for Dublin. I am keeping the whole question of cardiac ambulance services under review in the context of the evaluation of the Dublin scheme.
