Vol. 385 No. 6

Written Answers. - Carlow-Kilkenny Hospice Project.

246.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the application for funding from the national lottery made by Carlow-Kilkenny Home Care Team Limited who aim to provide a hospice type care for patients.

I have received a very considerable number of requests for assistance from the health allocation of the national lottery proceeds, including one from the Carlow-Kilkenny Home Care Team. However, as the Deputy will appreciate, it has been possible to accede to only a relatively small number of these requests because of the limited funds available.

This year's allocation of lottery proceeds for health services has now been distributed or committed in full and consequently I am not in a position to make funds available for the Carlow-Kilkenny Home Care Team.
