asked the Taoiseach the proportion of Irish cattle hides retained in Ireland for processing in 1987-1988; and the destination of all other cattle hides exported.

Information on the numbers of cattle hides processed is unavailable for confidentiality reasons. The quantity of cattle hides exported during 1987 and the period January-September 1988, classified by country of destination, is given in the table I am circulating in the Official Report.
