The European community has provided emergency and food aid to a value of IR £2.5 million in relief assistance to Nicaragua.
The Community is continuing to monitor the situation in Nicaragua and is in the process of considering how it might assist in Nicaragua's reconstruction. In the circumstances I do not propose to raise the matter at the next Council of Minister.
