asked the Taoiseach the total number of County Leitrim resident persons on the live register, as revealed through the special area of residence analysis, for the latest date for which such statistics are available; and if he will give a breakdown of this total by area, or social welfare area, or whichever is the most detailed breakdown available.

asked the Taoiseach the number of persons on the live register at each local employment office in County Leitrim on the latest date for which such figures are available.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 63 and 64 together. The numbers of persons on the live register at each local employment office in County Leitrim on 25 November 1988, the latest date for which the figures are available, are as follows:

A special area of residence analysis of the live register is carried out quarterly on the second last Friday of February, May, August and November. On 19 August 1988 there were 1,409 persons on the live register who were residing in County Leitrim. These were registered at the following local employment offices: Ballyshannon, 75; Belturbet, 77; Carrick-on-Shannon, 869; Longford, 28; Manorhamilton, 360.

A special area of residence analysis of the live register is carried out quarterly on the second last Friday of February, May, August and November. On 19 August 1988 there were 3,434 persons on the live register who were residing in County Sligo. Of these 1,407 were resident in Sligo Municipal Borough while the remaining 2,027 were registered at the following local employment offices: Ballina, 417; Ballyshannon, 53; Boyle, 142; Sligo, 1,043; Tubbercurry, 372.
